Sit to Fit Exercise Classes

This exercise class is an indoor class featuring a chair based exercise program to improve cardio fitness muscular strength, flexibility and balance which is especially beneficial for people who may have limited movement, balance concerns, or who are recuperating from an injury or accident. Classes are on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 10:40 AM and a $5.00 cover charge is applied. 

Active Light

This class is perfect for those looking for basic, low impact moves for those starting out or wanting a simple, fun class. The class is held at Jeff Joseph Reserve on Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM. 

Functional Fitness

This program features a variety of bodyweight and core exercises and combines strength training with high intensity exercises to build and tone the body and enhance general fitness and strength. The class is held under the floodlights at Tompkins Park (East) adjacent to the Dunkley Avenue car park every Monday from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM.

Tunes For Tots

Get kids active with dancing, singing, and plenty of moving and having fun with Tunes For Tots. The class is perfect for children aged 2 years old and above. The class is held at City of Melville Main Hall every Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and runs in line with school terms.

Yoga

If you’re looking for a relaxing way to unwind and keep healthy, join the yoga class at Melville City’s Active in the Park program which resumes in Spring on Saturday, 15 October 2022.

Keeping active doesn’t mean only going to the gym or jogging around a running trail. Spice up your workout routine by joining these classes at Melville City to have fun while keeping a healthy and active lifestyle!
